MOGUL/AERIALS SKI CAMP

Our mogul/aerials program offers training for intermediate level skiers on up to competition level mogul skiers.During your session, our coaches will help you to improve your mogul skiing by teaching you the solid fundamentals and correct technique for jump execution.  Our coaches have strong coaching and skiing backgrounds and are passionate about their sport and are always stoked to ski with motivated skiers like you.

Our mogul program is set up for kids, adults, and mogul team members that are interested in taking their skills to the next level. Our half-mile long mogul lane is shaped by snowcat and finished by hand to make for an ideal summer training venue. Our jump venue provides every level of jump, from novice small sized on up to world cup sized jumps. Our mogul campers have the added benefit of shorter lift lines later in the day, when the snow softens up and the race camps move off the hill. We have hosted many teams including Wasatch Freestyle, Stratton Freestyle and the U.S. Freestyle Team.

Every day we Videotape your on-hill training. Then you and your coaches get together in the afternoon and figure out what you need to work on. Video analysis is one of the most powerful learning tools available to you and will help you achieve your goals faster. At the end of the week, you can purchase a USB Flash-drive or DVD copy of your Video training runs

Trampoline training: Not sure about trying a new aerial trick? You can first try it out on our campus trampoline. You can first learn a new trick off snow before giving it a try on the mountain the next day.

11,249 foot Mt. Hood has the longest season of any ski area in North America. Training takes place on the Palmer Snowfield as well as on the Magic Mile chairlift runs in the early summer. With two express quad chairs and 2500' vertical, you have the opportunity to get in a lot of quality training in a short period of time. Mt. Hood weather can be variable with the possibility of mid-winter type conditions popping up at any month of the summer, so come prepared! Typically 80% of the days are sunny skies, but you should come prepared for cool/wet weather. Winter clothing and, rain gear should be brought as well as summer clothing. Layers work best at Mt. Hood. As it warms during the day, you can take the layers off and stow them in your backpack. Sun protection is very important, Skiing at the 8,500 foot level is hazardous to the skin and eyes if not well protected. You must bring a good pair of sun glasses, dark lens goggles and a good quality sunscreen. We also recommend that you train wearing a helmet.
